1957 Chinese Type 56 SKS 762x39
For sale is a Chinese Type 56 SKS in good+ condition. The bore is bright and shiny with no signs of pitting or rust. All serial numbers match including the stock. The serial number indicates it was produced in 1957. 1957 was the first year the Chinese military used 26 in a triangle to designate the arsenal. This rifle was produced at the Jianshe Arsenal /26\ , also known as state factory /296\ and (formally known as arsenal 21). The Jianche arsenal was moved to Chongqing in 1939 and subsequently re-named the Jianshe Machine Tool Factory in April 1957. A wide variety of small-arms were produced here. In current times its tied to China South Industries where they still produce small-arms and all sorts of other things such as ATVs and motorcycles etc today.
This rifle is inn all original condition. This is a great piece of military history. This is not a Norinco but a true early Chinese military issue with the blade bayonet. Not counter-bored. C&R eligible.
